As Head Cake Designer and Owner, Carrie J. Curie has been baking sweets to delight crowds for over 18 years. In that time, she found that her signature recipes and artistic talent quickly developed an expanding clientele.To further pursue her passion for cake design, Carrie attended a series of premier cake classes, including classes taught by the famed Colette Peters, of Colette's Cakes in New York City. Ultimately she began SweetPea Cakes and started working for the Public House Restaurants creating cakes for clients and signature desserts to complement their made-from-scratch menu. Today, as head designer for SweetPea Cakes: A Couture Cake & Cupcake Boutique in downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois, Carrie sets the standard in art, design, and creativity that her customers have grown to love.
